Role on ForumPlanet
Formerly working alongside Trestkon in PlanetDeusEx's CIS division under the codename of Sol, Alpha Operator is now the bartender and owner of Sol's Bar in the Downtown sector of Forum City. His bar sells snacks, drinks, and cigarettes while Alpha himself also runs a "Quotes Game" that tests the player's knowledge of famous quotes from movies and video games. His heavily modded service pistol (a unique weapon) can be found on the wall of his office in the back rooms of the bar.
Role in the Game
As well as providing pretty much all the background information the player could ever want to know about the events of Forum City that transpired in Treskton's absence, Alpha Operator is involved in two optional side missions:
On Day 1, Scara B. King is getting tired of waiting on Trestkon, so he offers the player a way to obtain a free subway pass by helping NVShacker. The mission involves knocking out Alpha and taking a computer program he carries on a floppy disk on his person. Knocking Alpha out on Day 1 will result in his death when the bar is blown up while Trestkon is in DXI.
In the PDX storyline after the bombing of Sol's on Day 2, the player can find the bombers laying low in a condemned building down the street, where Goats were keeping an unconscious Llama hostage on Day 1. The reward for killing them is a Gibinator Battery (one of three in the game) and some credits. The mission cannot be solved if Alpha is dead or unconscious.
Locations
Alpha can be found behind the bar on Day 1, selling snacks and running the Quotes Game. On Day 2, he is standing outside the bar, and will give you the mission to find bombers when you talk to him in the PDX storyline. If Alpha was killed in the bombing, Winquman will tell the player how and why.
