Hello. Welcome to Raving's Weapons Shop. I am Andreus, the one and only sales assistant, and pretty damn good at it if I do say so myself.
Role on ForumPlanet
Andreus is the youngest person in Forum City to have ever been imbued with nano-technology. Working for Raving Nutter, a former PDXCIS agent and friend of Trestkon, he was sent on a mission inside the WorldCorp HQ to disable Black ICE. For this mission he got his technology installed by Jonas Waever, and a downgraded version of Black ICE by Evil Invasion. However, this wasn't effective enough to defend Andreus properly from the things Black ICE can do to people hacking into the WC system; he barely survived the encounter, and still bears the scars. Even though many NPCs mention Andreus' sorry state of mind, the only way you can personally tell is from some of his idle one-liners.
Role in Game
Despite the extensive backstory about Andreus and Black ICE, he is never involved at all in that particular sidequest. In fact, his only role is to offer a few goods for sale, and because you can buy all weaponry straight from their lockers, he doesn't even sell that much. He can offer you the experimental Napalm Launcher for 1000 credits, which can also be scavenged from his unconscious or dead body, and silencers for Trestkon's Pistols, an option that is lost once you kill or knock him out, since it turns him hostile on the second day. Therefore if you intend to kill or knock out Andreus, you best do it after purchasing the silencers.
Despite popular belief, it's not required to talk to Andreus before being able to purchase a Dragon's Tooth Sword from Glottis in the West Residence District.
Locations
Andreus can be found behind the counter of Raving's Weapon Shop on both days. If you knocked out him or Raving Nutter on day 1, or disabled the security systems on day 1, he will be hostile on the second day and attack you.
