Ballistic Armor

Ballistic armor is a one-time use defensive armor that provides good protection against blade and bullet weaponry. Its effectiveness and duration are determined by the player's skill level in Environmental Training (skill).

Obtaining it

The most convenient (and costly) source of ballistic armor is from Raving's Weapon Shop, where one can purchase three the first day and two the second, for 700 credits apiece. Otherwise, ballistic armor can be found lying around various areas, such as in a crate on the third floor of the WC HQ.

Usage

Due to the rather limited availability of ballistic armor, it should be reserved for use against especially tough enemies that you can't avoid, such as bosses. Ballistic Protection stacks with this item, making a player who uses both at once nearly invulnerable to bullets and blades, though most of the time it is unnecessary to use both.
