I'm the admin of this city. As such, I need a certain amount of drama.
Despot is the mysterious Admin of PDX Forum City.
Role on ForumPlanet
Despot is the Admin of Forum City, where he is absolute dictator. He never shows himself in public and rarely, if ever, uses his power. Some believe that he does not even exist. In truth he avoids public appearances due to a combination of laziness and his deformity (he is a giant blue karkian).
Before the planetization Despot was a Moderator and News Editor at Deus Ex Incarnate. Shortly before the planetization DXI's Admin, Gwog, chose him to be Admin. Despot and Digital Ronin were the only DXI moderators to survive the planetization after which Despot became Admin of Forum City in accordance with Gwog's wishes.
Despot, as the post planetization Admin, answered to GameSpy and was one of the few in Forum City who knew they controlled ForumPlanet.
Despot appointed three moderators (King Kashue, Phasmatis and Deus Diablo) to do most of his work for him. He didn't trust any one of them with the power to ban instead requiring all three to consent to any ban.
Role in Game
The action of The Nameless Mod is set into motion when Deus Diablo is kidnapped, which was in turn caused by Despot mentioning the existence of the firestaff to Gamespy. In this way an offhand comment of Despot is responsible for everything that happens in the game.
Despot sends Trestkon a PM when he first enters PDX. In the PDX storyline that is the limit of his involvement.
In the WorldCorp storyline, it is necessary to steal Despot's admin password. First the player journeys to Despot's Apartment to bribe Despot with the DXO news script. Because Despot refuses the player is later sent to the New Server Complex to steal the admin password.
It is possible to meet Despot when not playing as WorldCorp by using the login information from the WorldCorp storyline. This will result in a modified conversation with Despot and PMs from The Narcissus Entity.

Despot can only be found in his apartment.
