Digital Ronin's Katana is a lethal weapon for purchase at Yardbomb's Voodoo Shop in the Slums. While it is less damaging than the Dragon's Tooth Sword or Fireblade, it is better at destroying doors, cameras and turrets.
Obtaining it
You can purchase this weapon for 3500 credits from Yardbomb in his shop. The shop is always open on day 1, and only on day 2 if the player has advised Yardbomb not to sell the shop to WorldCorp. Unlike the original Deus Ex (and many instances in The Nameless Mod), saving, paying to obtain the code, and loading your saved game will not work as using the code without purchasing the weapon will set of an alarm (although the player can still escape the shop through the teleporters if they are active).
Description
UNIQUE WEAPON:
This is the exquisitely crafted and perfectly balanced katana of the legendary moderator Digital Ronin. His equally legendary parting speech can be found in a book in Yardbomb's voodoo shop, where you also bought this sword. Holding the beautiful blade in your hands, you can almost feel your mind calm down and sharpen.
Usage
The main advantage this katana has over the Dragon's Tooth and the Fireblade is its better ability to destroy doors, cameras and turrets. This is because the katana does 1 x 30 damage, while the nanosword and the fireblade do 5 x 20 damage. While that means the katana does far less damage to NPCs, this extra 10 damage allows better destructive capabilities on static objects, especially combined with levels in Low-Tech (skill) and the augmentation Combat Strength.
