Uh, I'm probably not legally allowed to mention that. Forget I said anything. - NVShacker
The EMP Pistol is an experimental WorldCorp invention. Its primary use is against bots and augmented humans, and it's very effective at it!Obtaining it
On the second level of WorldCorp HQ coming from the elevator, go right through a protected door (clearance 2/B required) then at the end of the hallway turn right again. In the office to your right you will find this on a pedestal.
Description
UNIQUE WEAPON: The EMP pistol is a fairly futuristic state-of-the-art-weapon manufactured by WorldCorp. It uses an extremely advanced (and patented) technology to generate intense electromagnetic radiation, amplified and focused into a high-power beam. Not terribly useful against regular combat troops, but highly efficient in disabling robots and security systems or stripping away the defenses of augmented enemies. Unlike most weapons, the EMP pistol accepts the neat but rarely used red dot sight included in all standard scope mod packages.
Usage
The EMP Pistol is a great weapon to use against robots (particularly any hoverbots the player may come across), but it also requires a high accuracy level to shoot straight at any distance beyond close range. Training in pistols up to at least advanced level is essential if you want to use this gun, and even then you should grab a scope to go with it and maximise your shooting capability. The beam also does less damage than a standard EMP Grenade and ammunition for the gun is difficult to come across, so it is recommended you use the gun wisely. Remember as well that EMP damage done to cameras and turrets is only temporary, so it may be worth your while disabling them by other means.
