PlanetDeusEx is the administration of the city, a small group of idealistic individuals who work for free to uphold the law and keep the wheels running. Despot is the official leader of the PDX, who has a powerful position as administrator of Forum City. Despot has never appeared in public. Working under him are three moderators - King Kashue, Phasmatis and Deus Diablo - who enjoy several benefits of the position to make up for the huge responsibility it entails. Besides running the show, PDX also publishes a daily newspaper written and edited by Slicer and Evil Invasion. The newspaper is made in the PDX HQ and then sent to an external print house who takes care of printing and distributing the paper.

Faction

History in Forum City

  • 2000: After the planetization, which was carried out with disastrous consequences, the survivors start building a new home. Despot, horribly disfigured in the planetization, flees to an underground lair. King Kashue, Phasmatis and Deus Diablo rise to help Digital Ronin lead the construction of Forum City
  • 2001: Digital Ronin leaves Forum City after helping establish it. King Kashue and Phasmatis are elected as moderators. PDXCIS is created to supply the moderators with covert intelligence, run by Phasmatis.
  • 2002: After about a year in operation, PDXCIS is disbanded after Kylie breaks down. It is decided to elect a third moderator instead. Trestkon is nominated, but turns down his nomination and leaves. Deus Diablo is chosen without election.
    • Despite the official time line's claim that there was no election, an in game paper mentions that Deus Diablo was the runner up in the election Trestkon won.
  • 2004: Deus Diablo is abducted by GameSpy

Presence in Forum City

Headquarters

Bombed by DXO, the headquarters has been relocated to the old GitM building. They're still setting things up, so it is a bit messy.

Ground level

The reception is straight ahead when entering the building. Krissy is the only receptionist.

Left of the reception are the bathrooms. Winquman mans a makeshift armory in the ladies room. There's also a repair bot in there. Jonas has his own nanotech lab further left.

Right of the reception are the offices of Phasmatis, Deus Diablo, Evil Invasion and Slicer. In a small recreational area in between the offices, there is a medical bot. Behind the offices is an elevator to the second floor.

Behind the reception is a recreational area with grass and trees. There's also a sewer exit.

Second floor

All the way to the left is King Kashue's office. He has his own swimming pool. All the way to the right is Despot's office, guarded by Ghandaiah. Despot is not there, but the entrance to his apartment is located in his office.

Firewalls

PDX employs a system of digital automatons known as Firewalls to enforce peace in the city in times of crisis. Firewalls are sensitive to EMP damage. Phasmatis is in charge of the Firewall system.
