The Pumpgun is a new shotgun that hovers somewhere between the sawed-off shotgun and the assault shotgun in efficiency. Unfortunately, the gun does not fire at the advertised rate of 3.3 RDS/Sec, which would make it very powerful, firing more accurately at a rate of roughly .9 RDS/Sec.
Obtaining it
Many thugs and law enforcers (firewalls) will use the pump action shotgun, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. If you really need one fast in the game, the Firewall patrolling around Helga's Kraut Kastle carries one.
Description
The pump-action shotgun has a longer barrel than the standard sawed-off, resulting in a higher accuracy and a longer range to make up for the smaller spread of the pellets. Because it's clip-loaded, it will also hold 8 shells as opposed to the 4-shell capacity of the sawed-off, and it's faster to reload.
Usage
While it does less damage than the sawed-off shotgun, its fast speed and ammo capacity allows far more versatility with groups of enemies to dispose of. Because it's a shotgun, you'll get the best effect at very close range - from a distance, the spread will be too wide to seriously damage anyone.
With a laser sight attached and active, all shells will hit one point instead of spread out however, making it far more lethal.
