Role on ForumPlanet
Scara B. King is the owner and CEO of WorldCorp Inc., a corporate conglomerate that owns most of the businesses in Forum City. He is described as an "evil megalomaniac trying to take over the world".
Role in Game
Scara is the antagonist of the PlanetDeusEx group and most of the city. In the beginning of the game, he attempts to recruit Trestkon to assassinate Silver Dragon and join WorldCorp with the goal of killing Deus Diablo and assuming control of Forum City (and ultimately all of ForumPlanet).
Gameplay Notes
Though Trestkon never receives a mission to attack Scara directly in the game, it's possible to defeat his guards and attack him, made easier if done before you rescue Silver Dragon. Unlike the moderators, Scara is not invincible and will die quite easily as he has no weapons. Killing King may seem like a good idea, but doing so will prompt The Narcissus Entity to transport you to a strange empty room where the two of you have an amusing conversation before Narcissus unavoidably kills you.
Since King has a key to his fireplace safe, one might wish to knock him out in order to obtain it and gain the wondrous items within the fireplace. Unfortunately, King can't be knocked out by any weapon, presumably because knocking King out would completely halt the plot.
Development
The character of Scara B. King was inspired by the online persona of the PDX board member "ScaraB King".
His voice was recorded before Jeremiah Costello was chosen to voice Trestkon, and there were some concerns that it would be obvious that Jeremiah was talking to himself during the many long conversations between the two. A video of a conversation was captured and sent to 3 randomly selected people not on the team, and when none of them noticed anything out of the ordinary (and even praised Scara's acting), it was decided not to modify Scara's voice.
