Are you sure about that Bulzeeb? Because as far as I know, there are two damage multiplier zones: The small of the back (just above the arse) and the back of the head. --Jonas 21:40, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

As best as I can tell, the damage multiplier zones differ when different damage types are used. When the damage type "shot"(any lethal bullet or blade weapon) is used, it appears that the back of the head is the superior zone. When the damage type "KnockedOut"(all blunt knockout weapons) or "Stunned"(Stun gloves and Riot Prod) is used, it appears that the small of the back is superior. If you guys are genuinely getting better results with hitting people in the back of the head with a baton, then I don't really know what to say aside from that the fact that different characters can have different amounts of health may be providing inconsistencies. Just make sure that your testing process is aided by the use of the Targeting Aug, which is quite useful for determining weapon effectiveness.
Anyway, I'm just going to change the page to a more vague stance for now. If someone else wants to confirm my results, that'd be great. Or correct me. Bulzeeb 4:31, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I did some more testing but the results are inconsistent. Sometimes you can smack on the back of the head and it knocks the NPC out, sometimes it only takes 20% damage. Same happened with the small of the back. I don't know though exactly where the hit-scan is done so it could be the two zones being close to each other. I usually aim though at the shoulder so I'm not sure which zone then actually counts.--Dragonlord 14:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
You're reading too much into this, it doesn't depend on their equipment, it's just that Deus Ex's hit detection is extremely primitive and inaccurate. --Jonas 19:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
