( note: damnit! wiki hates me... ended up on the wrong page again >.=.< ... moved ) I have to disagree since I'm 100% sure about the numbers being multiples of 5 or 10. Unfortunately I can't provide a proof right now since my TNM has stopped working ( general protection fault ).--Dragonlord 13:57, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Maybe for DX, but these are the TNM values, personally checked in the game before adding them to the wiki. Hassat Hunter 15:17, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
I did a test now only with "Advanced" in lock picking since I could not find a lock with 80% or more strength right around me in my save states. According to your interpretation this would be 41%. I tested it on the lock on the ship in the first map. Strength goes from 75% down to 35%. Ergo on advanced this is -40% not -41% ( I had it wrong in mind, it's 40 not 50 ). So I'm positive something is either wrong on your side or you played with a different setting since I can confirm the following: 10, 25, 40, 75 ( at Master level I can open the lock with exactly 1 lockpick... but as mentioned, no 80% lock around me to counter-proof the 77% claim ). So I opt for Jonas to give a statement about this.--Dragonlord 14:01, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Well I certainly hope it's 10, 25, 40, 75, because that's what I balanced the game for ; ) --Jonas 15:19, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I tested the values, and advanced and master always did 41 and 77%. There is a 100% keypad on the HTTP Gamespy where I tested the Master value and it dropped from 100 to 23%. And yes, this is without pressing F1 or Escape, or any other exploit. ALWAYS does my advanced lockpick/multitool do 41%, so I have no idea why it should be different with others also playing TNM. What option would give 1% additional STR, or 2% for master, 100% guaranteed? Hassat Hunter 12:25, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Are you using a modified version of the Deus-Ex game? What patch? Any other mods active or had been once active? Since from a game developers point of view multiples of 5 and 10 are reasonable values if the keypads itself all have multiples of 5 and 10 ( so you can crack a 50% with 2 locks picks on trained if you don't fumble up ) but strange values like 41 or 77 make absolutely no sense. And since the original Deus-Ex had been made by professional developers and ( from what Jonas wrote ) the TNM crew never changed this skills it should be the same. What exactly causes this discrepancy I don't know but I've noticed a couple of modifications from your part where there are strange numbers which I didn't question them since I had not tested them throughout so I'm not certain but in this particular case I'm absolutely sure since I did some play-starts to figure out the best skill level for lock picks and electronics to gain the most from a play-through in TNM so I payed close attention to the actual gains on different levels to optimize the gain.
DX-GOTY. Mods installed are ZODIAC, Hotel Carone and Burden of 80 proof (and TNM of course), but none of them should affect anything in TNM. Also used to have others (like Cassandra and Redsun, so only total conversions), but no longer installed. Yeah, I know it makes no sense, but since there really is no difference between 75 or 77 in the game it's a pretty minor thingie. I already wondered why the hell the TNM team made it do that, even if it made no sense. There wasn't a keypad ingame with a strange value.

Which were? Because I played DX extensively and noticed alot of locked electronics and not too many multitools in TNM I usually always got my electronics to trained (especially with higher item difficulties, atleast doors one can bash with the DTS or DRK), and it never ever deterred from draining 41%, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2.
