Should the plot synopsis contain slight spoilers or excruciating spoileriffic details? --Jaedar 12:07, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

I think Wikipedia articles tend to spoil everything thoroughly. --Jonas 21:21, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think a Wiki article would say second person things like "your character."

Yeah it would probably say "the player character" instead. --Jonas 21:21, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Or just "Trestkon". Hassat Hunter 18:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Weapon diagram

TNM weapons' diagram

Legend:

  • Orange surrounding line = new weapons, exclusive to TNM.
  • Orange connecting line = new class.
  • Bold = class (don't believe it really shows, it's really tiny).
  • Alternating colors (inside a cubicle) = alternating firing modes.

Tried making a diagram of all the weapons featured in TNM with the addition of weapon classes and firing modes - but probably missed a few, so you're more than welcome to edit and add to it. Its purpose is to show exactly how much original weapons TNM has compared to Deus Ex - and, as shown, it surpasses it by more than 50%.

Final version should have text that's actually in a readable size, and to be in a .jpg/.svg form, as with the Quake engine "family tree". Unfortunatally, it's not very comfortable (at least for me) to edit it in that way, so for now it's in a MS Word format. --Made in China 21:52, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

At a glance, the only errors I've noticed are that our shotgun is called a Pump-gun and the quad launcher doesn't use the same (normal) rockets as the GEP gun (does use the same EMP rockets though, for balance reasons). Also what you've called a trip mine is actually called a laser mine. Finally, you seem to be missing the Firestaff and Deus Diablo's fireblade :) --Jonas 23:05, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
The new diagram file.
I also seem to have missed the LAM (how in the world have I done that?), throwing knives, and plasma rifle from Deus Ex, and the blowpipe from TNM. Someone should really compare it with the list from the "phasrox" cheat. I've also tried to make it more dense, so the text could be bigger, so the display is a bit messy - just a side note. --Made in China 00:05, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Nice work, but: the proper name of the blow pipe is "Bamboo Blow Pipe". Also, I remembered you've missed the Vortex Grenade and the Gibinator as well. --Jonas 14:03, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Same diagram, revision 3.
Split the "Melee" section into the "Fists" and "Low-Tech", so now every skill has its own section - so in order to set them apart from the sub-categories, I put them in a green box.
I didn't know whether to put in the spyware device (shown as a mine), the PS20, the pepper spray and the fire extinguishers, as they are all non-damaging or disposable. Also, not including the spyware device, they are all low-tech weapons, which poses a problem - as that category's size is already twice the other categories'. Apart from that, I think all the weapons in TNM are listed in the diagram.
On another note, I suck at image editing, so someone else got to convert it to image form. --Made in China 16:04, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Aren't ALL weapons already featured here in the Weapons section of the Wiki? (DX and TNM alike)? Just browse there, as Phasrox doesn't have everything... Hassat Hunter 18:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
You should definitely add the PS20 and the pepper spray - even if they're disposable, they're still weapons. In the same vein, remember to add the LAW as well. Dunno about the fire extinguisher - it does blind people, but it does no damage. The spyware device isn't a weapon. --Jonas 23:51, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
The latest diagram. The fire extinguisher is much like the pepper spray in nature, so it was included. However, since both the fire extinguisher and the PS20 were in Deus Ex but were also highly modified in TNM, their boxes are colored in both orange and black. Also, thanks Hassat, I didn't notice the Weapons section in the wiki, silly me. --Made in China 14:58, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

The draft is pretty much complete. When sending it to Wikipedia, the uploader should also send the covers (can't do it myself, I'm not a confirmed user).
